Canon EOS R1 (Body Only)

For the first time, EOS R1 uses a powerful Image processing system with the latest DIGIC Accelerator processor, working alongside a DIGIC X processor to handle unprecedented levels of data at blistering speed, giving photographers and filmmakers new creative possibilities. The new Accelerated Capture supports the processing and analysing large volumes of data, alongside Deep Learning technologies. This combination unlocks higher performance and new features in several areas including auto focus, continuous shooting and image quality.

The EOS R1 features the latest version of Dual Pixel CMOS – Dual Pixel Intelligent AF including multiple enhancements.

The new Action Priority uses deep learning technology to identify actions and poses unique to football, basketball and volleyball, and automatically switches the active AF areas to the person performing those actions. The EOS R1 features the Next-generation Eye Control AF that allows you to select an AF point, or a subject to track, simply by looking at it. The use of newly developed optics and a revised line-of-sight algorithm enhances the accuracy of the system, compared with the EOS R3, and broadens the angle over which the system is effective, for a more natural experience.

The EOS R1 features new high-speed image sensors, resulting in faster shooting speeds and faster sensor readout with a 40% reduction of rolling shutter in the EOS R1 compared to the EOS R3 – putting it on the same level as the mechanical shutter in the EOS-1D X Mark III.
